Can you believe itās already the middle of December?! What a year!
My family has been soaking in the holiday season with lots of good food + quality time. From getting the whole gang together for family photos, to celebrating our family Secret Santa, weāve been having a blast. And thatās what the season is all about!
Itās way too easy to get caught up in the chaos of Christmas and fall into the trap of consumerism. So! This is a friendly reminder that you can enjoy this special time of year without spending bookoos!
This is a simple list of a few (free/ or almost free) things to do in the Las Vegas/ Henderson Valley as we wrap up the year š
Highlights:
Ethel M Chocolates’ Holiday Cactus Garden
Ethel M Chocolates transforms its 3-acre Botanical Cactus Garden into a festive wonderland with over a million lights and holiday decorations. The garden is open nightly from November 1 through January 4, starting at 5 PM. A $3 entrance fee per person is required, with proceeds benefiting Three Square Food Bank and HELP of Southern Nevada. Children under 2 and seniors 65+ enjoy free admission. No reservations are needed.Ā
Neighborhood Light Displays
Exploring local neighborhoods known for elaborate Christmas light displays is a cherished tradition. The Las Vegas Christmas Lights Map, curated by Vegas Family Guide, highlights homes and neighborhoods with notable decorations. This map is updated throughout the season to ensure current information.Ā
