With the temperatures rising these past few weekends, Mt Charleston has some great trails for you to cool down and get some exercise!
With 13 trails to choose from with varying difficulties, you are sure to find a trail to hike this summer.
One of my favorite trails at Mt Charleston is Mary Jane Falls, this trail is of moderate difficulty and is 3.2 miles roundtrip. The trail has multiple switchbacks, a trail that cuts sharply from one direction to the other while climbing a steep hill, throughout. The trail leads you to the base of Mary Jane Falls where there is a waterfall that is fed solely by snowmelt. The falls are at their peak in Spring, but the hike still gives you great views in the summer!
The temps at Mt Charleston will be a high of 88 degrees on Saturday, and 86 degrees on Sunday! The temps in Las Vegas will be a high of 111 on Saturday, and 107 on Sunday! Take a trip to Mt Charleston and check out the beautiful trails while also getting away from the Las Vegas heat!
